Whitley Bay Islamic Cultural Centre (WBICC) is a community organization that has been providing various services to the local community for several years. The organization has recently announced the opening of a new community gym that is inclusive of ethnic minority communities, women, and affordable than other gyms in the area.
The new gym, which is set to open in the coming months, is part of WBICC’s commitment to promoting health and wellness among the local community. The gym will feature state-of-the-art equipment, and trained professionals will be available to offer guidance and support to gym-goers.
One of the key goals of the new gym is to provide an inclusive space for people from all backgrounds. WBICC recognizes that many ethnic minority communities may not feel comfortable or welcome in traditional gym settings, which can often be intimidating or exclusive. By creating a gym that is specifically designed to be inclusive and welcoming, WBICC hopes to encourage more people to take up exercise and improve their health.
The gym will also be particularly welcoming to women, who may face additional barriers to accessing exercise facilities. Many women may feel uncomfortable exercising in front of men, or may not have access to facilities that are suitable for women. WBICC’s new gym will offer women-only sessions and dedicated women-only areas, allowing women to exercise in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Affordability is another key focus of WBICC’s new gym. Gym memberships can be expensive, and many people may be priced out of traditional gyms. WBICC is committed to making its gym as affordable as possible, with low-cost memberships and no joining fees. This will make the gym accessible to people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to improve their health and fitness.
Overall, the opening of WBICC’s new community gym is an exciting development for the local community. By creating an inclusive, welcoming, and affordable space, WBICC is helping to promote health and wellness among people of all backgrounds. The organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is to be commended, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact that the gym will have on the community.
We’ve worked with North Tyneside Council and Technogym to help produce some designs on how our gym can look like.
