Whitley Bay Islamic Cultural Centre

The Whitley Bay Islamic Cultural Centre came alive with excitement as children from after-school Islamic classes gathered for a delightful Sports Day. Organized collaboratively by the center’s Head Teacher and Imam, Al-Amin, and in-house personal trainer and teaching assistant, Imraz Khan, the event aimed to promote unity and healthy competition among the young participants.

The Sports Day featured a range of enjoyable activities, including tug-of-war, egg and spoon race, sprints, and relays. With cheers and laughter filling the air, the children enthusiastically embraced the challenges, learning valuable lessons about teamwork and perseverance.

Parents showed unwavering support, cheering on their children and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the families. Several local community members set up stalls, offering delicious treats and refreshments, with the proceeds going towards a charitable cause.
